Introducing our Brand Ambassador… Julie Montagu

Hi everyone! I am super excited to announce that I am officially a Brand Ambassador for BFree Foods! In order to introduce myself I would love to share a little bit about who I am and the path I have taken through the world of wellness.

Yoga is my first love and has guided me through many difficult journeys in life. It has given me both physical and emotional strength, and taught me how resilient both the mind and the body can be. My love for yoga recently evolved into the creation of the Julie Montagu School of Yoga which will be kicking off with the first group of students this year! Being named one of the Top 10 Holistic Health Icons in the world was one of my greatest honours, and is something that I take a great deal of motivation from when teaching yoga.

Asides from yoga, I also love to write on the things that I am passionate about. My fourth book, Recharge, hit the shelves on the 4th of January this year. This book is a month by month self-care bible that shows you how to prioritise your own health and happiness. My previous three books were primarily recipe books, with a heavy emphasis on plant-based nutrition and cooking healthy, wholesome meals.

Through my teaching and with my books, I love to guide others to live healthier, happier lives. And, this is also the reason that I created my wellness for women community – Truly Julie. Within this online community me and hundreds of other women discuss a different wellness topic each month. I guide the group with videos, podcasts and homework tasks that are all designed to inspire, encourage and motivate!

Also, if you’re an English history buff then you may recognise the connection between my surname and the invention of the sandwich! It was many centuries ago that the fourth Earl of Sandwich, John Montagu, introduced the idea of the this tasty meal, which then quickly became a popular dish throughout Europe. As the story goes, The 4th Earl of Sandwich would often order his meat between two slices of bread. It is said that he did this so that he wouldn’t get his fingers greasy and could then continue to play cards whilst he ate! Whether or not, this ‘story’ is true, my 4 kids love telling it to their friends!

Being an ambassador for BFree is a perfect fit for me.  I truly believe that what we eat makes us feel good on the outside, but equally important, the inside. The phrase holds true: It’s what’s on the inside that counts!’  When we remove the ingredients that our bodies can’t digest well and frankly can make us feel yuck, we then have more energy, sleep better, exercise more and our bodies are very very happy!
