coaliac awareness week banber EU1140x420px new

This week (9th-15th of May) is Coeliac Awareness week. BFree will be celebrating in various ways through out the week. We will have competitions and in store tastings over the coming days. Our delicious products are suitable for those suffering from coeliac disease and also suitable for anyone in search of a healthier lifestyle.

With many people living a gluten free lifestyle, it is often easy to forget that for some people leading a Gluten Free Lifestyle is not a choice, so what is Coeliac disease?

Coeliac Disease is an auto-immune disease from which the injection of Gluten causes damage to the stomach lining. Currently the only treatment for coeliac disease is following a strict gluten free diet. A classic strict Gluten free diet would mean that you are avoiding foods with Wheat, Barley and Rye that are naturally very high in Gluten.

Coeliac Disease is on the rise worldwide with a growing number of people experiencing intolerance’s to wheat and gluten.

BFree products are wheat and gluten free but are also a healthier alternative to standard breads, free from the top 14 EU listed allergens with a High fibre content and no added sugar. They are also vegan friendly.

Stay tuned over the coming week to our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page for some exciting competitions. Don’t forget to tag BFree in your recipes or top gluten free tips or use the #BFree

Meet BFree! This week we say hello to David

david blog

Hi I am David and I’m based in our Dublin office in Ballsbridge. I am responsible for business development in Europe. I spend my time travelling around the continent making sure that more and more European consumers get an opportunity to try our great tasting products!

Off course all the BFree products taste great, but for me the Multiseed bagels are my favourite, having them with some scrambled eggs in the morning gets me ready for the day ahead. I really enjoy working for BFree, working in a small dynamic company brings with it some challenges but it is all worth it when you get to meet consumers at tradeshows and hear firsthand of how BFree has impacted on their lives.

Meet the people behind BFree! Say hello to Alex

Happy February ♡

Over the past month the BFree office has been in full swing as usual. We launched our new Soft Sandwich Rolls in to Dunnes Stores. If you missed it you can check it out here. We decided to ask the team a couple of questions about their role in BFree and of course what their favourite BFree product to share with you guys. This week Alex shares her story with us:

alex

My name is Alex and I am the GM here at BFree.

I guess what I love about my job is seeing really cool innovative ideas that our team have dreamt of and have put their blood sweat and tears, come into fruition and really making a difference to other peoples lives. Food is my absolute passion and sharing this passion with my team and consumers makes this job so much fun.

My favourite BFree product has to be the fajita kit. I love Mexican foods generally and this kit is in my cupboard all of the time as a healthy staple and it is so easy to make a delicious and nutritious meal in seconds. Sometimes, it is hard to get time to shop around for healthy alternatives so this is the perfect solution. The seasoning in this kit makes my mouth water – every single time!
